Inversions & Arm Balances Workshop
Curious about turning yourself upside down? There are endless benefits of going upside every day. For many people this seems unattainable, but in fact, learning the art of inversions is simple and completely accessible.
This workshop will provide you with systematic conditioning exercises to work towards inversions. Then variations of headstand, handstand, and forearm stand will be offered.
The various small steps towards inversions make each new level achievable and exciting. And, the conditioning exercises tone, lengthen, and heighten body awareness so your fitness abilities increase and you feel more comfortable in your skin.
The workshop will conclude with a slow cozy cool down and longer savasana to make sure you feel grounded and peaceful to close the practice.
Alison Kate is a NYC-based Certified Yoga Teacher, Meditation Instructor, Certified Holistic Health and Lifestyle Transformation Coach, and Bachata Instructor. Her passion is to guide people on their journey to finding their unique purpose, courage, and authentic self.
Being of service and watching people transform their lives brings Alison great joy. Her mission is to work with people through yoga, meditation, dance, and coaching to feel better in their bodies, experience new levels of self-connection as well as spiritual connectedness, and inspire people to feel more loving, free, happy, playful, and vibrantly healthy to see and experience the magic and miracles all around them.
Alison has a cheerful positive attitude that makes the practice fun, light-hearted, and easy to embrace the vigorous elements. Students come to Alison’s class to sweat, de-stress, and increase flexibility, strength, endurance, and balance. And, they leave feeling rejuvenated, recharged, and peaceful.
As a dancer, yogi, transformation coach, health enthusiast, personal growth junkie, and spiritual seeker, she embodies and lives her work and her passions as one. She has studied with various MA and NYC yoga instructors, mentors, and studios and completed her teacher training in Embodyoga with Patty Townsend. She has also trained in several dance styles including Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba, Zouk, Semba, and Mergenue. She offers private coaching, yoga, meditation, and dance instruction. She also teaches group yoga classes at BigToe Yoga and Warrior Bridge in Manhattan and Sensual Bachata at Stepping Out Studio for Bachata Rosa.
